Start with what interests you
An exhibition, a bookshop or a walk can offer a natural starting point. Choose an area that interests you and explain what you would like to share. If you want specialist historical commentary, look for a qualified guide: companionship for an outing and a guided tour are different services that should be arranged separately.
The best place may be the one where you decide to pause.
Allow time between stops
Before arranging the meeting, consider how far you want to walk and whether you would like a break. Check opening times and tickets directly with the places you plan to visit. A flexible plan keeps a change from taking over the afternoon and lets either person suggest a pause.
The return journey is part of the plan
Choose a recognisable meeting point and agree where the outing ends. If you are staying elsewhere, plan your return journey and clarify any transport expenses. Your first message needs only the date, neighbourhood, approximate duration and preferred language; you can work out the rest together.
TAKE IT WITH YOU
- Choose a few stops close together.
- Explain your pace and preferred breaks.
- Confirm times and tickets with venues.
